The ReAct Festival 2024
The ReAct Festival returns for a third year, building on its past success. Partnering with six west London secondary schools - Hammersmith Academy, Phoenix Academy, Fulham Cross Girls, Ellen Wilkinson Girls, Ark Acton and Fulham Cross Academy, WCTP deliver drama workshops for over a thousand Year 8 students.
Ten students from each school are selected for Stage 2 of the project, taking part in workshops at the Lyric Theatre, led by our practitioner teams who go on to work with the students over ten weeks, to develop 6 different theatre pieces. These will be showcased at the ReAct Festival 2024 on July 12th at the Lyric Theatre.
A Dramatherapist/Supervisor will support both students and practitioners throughout.
Teacher feedback:
“The project was an all-round positive and enriching experience for the students.”
“The project is so well organised and the practitioners are excellent. There are high expectations which is great, and the project connects pupils from different classes”.
“It’s great to work with other schools in the borough, as well as giving students the opportunity to work with professionals which is something they don’t usually get to do”
