The ReAct Festival 2024

Building on the success of the ReAct Festival over the past two years we are running the project again for the third consecutive year.

Once again we are working with six west London secondary schools - Hammersmith Academy, Phoenix Academy, Ellen Wilkinson, Ark Acton Academy, Fulham Cross Girls and Fulham Cross Academy providing drama workshops to over a thousand Year 8 students.

In the second stage of the project our facilitators and the schools’ pastoral departments will identify ten students from each school. These sixty young people will take part in a day of workshops at the Lyric Theatre where they will be paired with a practitioner team. During the summer term the practitioners will deliver ten weekly in school workshops where they will devise a piece of theatre culminating in six different performance pieces which will be performed at the ReAct Festival 2024 at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith on the 12th July 2024.

The project will be overseen by a Dramatherapist/Supervisor in order to support both the young people and the practitioners throughout the process.
