• In every age group

In every age group, there's a need for communication, a need to express yourself,
a need to be seen as the individual, you!

  • Drawing communities together

    Drawing communities together through drama
breaks down barriers, identifies common issues,
all those things that improve community cohesion.

White City Theatre Project (WCTP)
a newly formed Community Interest Company

Created to run therapeutic theatre projects in the West London area and to take over running of the very successful White City Youth Theatre (WCYT).

Building on this success with the youth groups, WCTP is interested in running drama-based therapeutic sessions for other groups within the local community.

We are now developing short drama-based projects which can be used to support young people not in education or training.

Who are we?

The White City Theatre Project is made up of a partnership between Melanie Thaw and Lucy Foxell. During the past twelve years we have worked together in schools and communities all over London with adults and young people of all ages, developing our methods of using drama therapeutically.

The benefits of such drama-based intervention include:

  • Increased motivation
  • Enhanced self-confidence and self esteem
  • Helping to relieve anger and stress
  • Better self expression
  • A sense of achievement
  • Sense of worth both in self and the community
  • Broadened scope of interests
  • Becoming more open minded
